Our Program
Global ENT Outreach has been educating in Ethiopia since 2001, having had programs at the Black Lion Hospital, Yakitt 12 Hospital, and Mekelle University in Northern Ethiopia. Now under a consortium with the RAMA ENT Hospital in Adama, Ethiopia, our partnership has expanded to have regular Otology Grand Rounds virtually online from Ethiopia and hosted by Dr. Yohannes Shiferaw, M.D. Otologist from Ethopia, trained in Italy under Dr. Mario Sanna.
Academic partners from the following academic institutions will join the monthly sessions and contribute to the presentations, discussions, and question and answer periods:
Georgetown University, McGill University, University of California-San Francisco, University of Southern California, Pacific Neuroscience Institute, and Global ENT Outreach.
Grand Rounds objectives
The Grand Rounds sessions are for 60 minutes and are broadcast live via Zoom from The African Ear Foundation in Adama, Ethiopia. The Grand Rounds structure is as follows:
